15 days. THAT’S HOW MANY DAYS UNTIL LONDON. The other day I bought some milk and saw that the expiration date is on the 24th. Then I thought to myself, “Hum, this milk is going to expire when I’m in London.” Also, today my foreign monies came in for the trip. And earlier this week we booked our train tickets for Paris and Bruges. Also, today I watched Winning London on YouTube. I used to borrow it from the library all the time. Also my life will literally be this BuzzFeed article once we get to London.
Monday I had an advising meeting, which was kind of pointless. I just sat there and told my adviser what I had planned on taking because I don’t really have a set schedule of things I need to take since I’m just sort of wasting time. I’m kind of taking prerequisites for other nursing schools so I can also apply to them next semester. But as of right now, it looks like I’ll be at 14 credit hours Monday through Thursday, taking English 2, Med Term, Public Speaking, Biology Lab, and Foundations of Art. I tried so hard to get by with just 12 credits but it was difficult to with biology only being 2 credits. Beginning Chinese was an option but I decided against it since they meet every single day in conjunction with a one day a week lab, also it was 6 credits. O.o
I’ve come to the conclusion that I am so tired of school. My work ethic as well as my attendance in most of my classes has gone down a bit (the only class I haven’t skipped at least once this semester is my music appreciation class, which is the class I probably could actually skip because it’s so easy). And being completely honest, this is probably the laziest I’ve ever been. For example, yesterday I accomplished nothing, except for watching a lot of Netflix. I watched a couple episodes of Breaking Bad, rewatched an episode of Sherlock, and watched 21 & Over. Have you guys seen Say Anything? It’s an 80’s Rom-Com and I watched it yesterday too and it was the greatest. Anyway, if JR were to hold up a boom box at my window… LOL. JKJK. 😀
Peace out, girl scouts.
PS. Sorry for the mass rambling of this post. I didn’t really know what to write about this week.
Yep that’s right. Thanksgiving break is just around the corner. And I’m sooo excited to go home for a whole week! I’ve been counting down the days for awhile now… But to be completely honest I feel like it came out of no where. Time goes by so fast these days. And it’s just two more weeks after we get back until it’s Christmas Break. Can’t believe I’m been at Mizzou for a semester already. CRAZY. But I’m so glad it’s almost over.
This week I found out I’m going to Arizona for the first week of break with my dad and step-mom. We had discussed taking a vacation when I had gone home 2 weeks ago since my dad didn’t get to go with us to Hogwarts (Orlando, FL actually. But it might as well been Hogwarts. Sounds cooler anyway). The first destination my dad suggested was ENGLAND (AHHHHHH!!!!!). But that got shot down because my step-mom doesn’t like cold weather… Pissed. I was so devastated (and I still am devastated). I probably could have cried. Legit. I’ll make it there eventually. Hopefully. Then they were looking a cruises. Not sure what happened there though… I would have been fine with that! Anyway, I’m pretty excited about the trip though because I’ve ever been to AZ.
Also, One Direction’s Take Me Home CD came out yesterday. I will say I really didn’t care for it when I first listened to it. But some of the songs are catchy. It’s pretty great! 245 DAYS UNTIL THE CONCERT. Can’t wait.
Lastly, I found this video of an 6 year old Asian piano prodigy on Ellen. I’m showing you because I understand everything they’re saying!! It’s the Chinese I can actually understand and know how to speak!! Plus the kid’s pretty good.
Basically there’s not much excitement going on in my life right now. Besides going to the Rec pretty much everyday this week (except for Sunday because I had a paper due Monday and didn’t start it until last minute– would you expect anything different?! 🙂 ), I’ve been studying, and watching TV shows… pretty much like Kens (except not Gilmore Girls…) Haha!
I don’t remember if I told you this but I signed up for a 5K this weekend. It benefits the children’s hospital and some younger cancer patients. I also get volunteer hours for running it (let’s be honest though, I’ll probably be walking most of it!) I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for it. Mainly because we get t-shirts!!!! Although I did have to pay for it… But it goes to the kids! Guess I can’t complain about that!
Yesterday some lady on the bus asked me, “What nationality are you?” I could’ve made some conversation after my reply of “Chinese” but it was just too dang early and I had stayed up for a while studying the night before. I kind of regret not making conversation because she looked some sort of Asian. That could’ve been my first Asian friend made at Mizzou. Sigh.
Today I finally got all my speeding ticket goodness settled. And that’s a relief because I was going a bit paranoid every time I saw police car because I didn’t want a warrant out for my arrest. Unfortunately getting arrested is not on my bucket list, like it is on some others I know. Anyway, I’ve been pretty speed conscious recently because I do not want to have to go through that process ever again.
In other mundane news, I painted my nails today. And I watched the Sound of Music. I love that musical.
Missing you all! G+ soon?!
Sorry to interupt the blogging schedule. But I have a very important message to bring to you guys.
IT’S CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!
It’s the year of the dragon, in case you were wondering. My crazy uncle told me a few weeks ago that since it’s supposed to be a very lucky year, a lot of people (more so Asian people) will be planning to get married this year. And also there’ll be a lot of what comes with marriage, AKA babies. I’ll let you put 2 and 2 together. Yeah, talk about a little bit awkward.
Here’s a CNY music video for your viewing pleasure.
And also a picture of Ni Hao Kai Lan on CNY.
