About The Bloggers
We are a group of (mostly) college students who all graduated from the class of 2011 at William Chrisman High School. We have decided we’re going to stay in touch throughout college/life, as most high school friendships crumble at the sight of a new chapter of life. This is our brave attempt at avoiding this norm. These are our stories of our lives after high school.

No, but if I was I would definitely win.
I was in a basement fight club with cody and a bunch of thugs after school on thursdays for a whole semester in high school, you stand no chance!
Nick I like how yours says CoMO Missouri as if the MO in CoMO doesn’t mean Missouri.
Hey guys/gals Thanks for stopping buy…Best wishes at College it is an exciting time…(I am pretty sure you all heard that before…but it is true)
I just nominated your beautiful blog for The One Lovely Blog Award. You can go here to find out more about it. http://lplk.wordpress.com/2012/11/26/the-one-lovely-blog-award-nomination/

Nick can’t YOLO
Hello all! Just happened to stumble upon your blog and we wanted to let you know what a cool idea you’ve got. Staying in touch with high-school friends is definitely a challenge, and you all have found an excellent solution to the problem. Great posts.
P.S. Shout out to those of you in Colorado! Hope you’re enjoying it!
Hi bloggers!
Thanks for stopping by the Perpetual Student and giving my latest post a “like.” I love your idea of a group blogging site and your decisions to stay in touch. Some mom advise: Nursing students: stick with it. My daughter is a fairly new nurse and it is an awesome career. Morgan: I have another daughter who is a GeoArchaeology major and loves the combo–consider it maybe? Derek–would have loved to have had the guts to do what you are doing! To all of you-best of luck 🙂
You’re all awesome! Hope you do keep your friendships intact. God bless!
I graduated from William Chrisman in 2002… didn’t go the college route, though. Hats off to you Derek for chasing your dream and doing what you love. To the rest of you, I would advise you to forget about your career and find what your passionate about, and DO THAT! Don’t wait! Life goes by fast, do what you dream of, and do it right now!
Blessings to you all. May you find your way, your peace, your joy!
~ Ben
Cool blog idea! Love this. 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to visit over at my blog. I absolutely love your blog concept. Have fun. Study, work and play hard. Laugh a lot. Cheers.
I think this is an absolutely awesome idea. I barely talk to any of the people I knew in high school. I wish I thought of this back then. I hope it has been working for you and keep up the great work!
Thanks for stopping by my blog (let’s assume it was a group effort) so that I could discover yours!! What a fantastic idea, I’m hooked! I have twins in their junior years of college, well assuming they graduate on time…which I don’t expect and am perfectly fine with…but you all remind me so much of them! Especially the changing majors theme. DO IT! And do it repeatedly until you find the one you want to stick with for years to come. You are brilliant young minds, and I’m honored to be called your fan. 🙂 Happy Bloggin’ ya’ll!
I can see a group of young and funky Bloggers! I am feeling good today, thanks for dropping by my Blog!
what a fantastic idea. good luck to you all! hope to see lots of posts.
Thanks for the like and dropping by my blog, gave me a chance to visit yours! Great idea and something you will treasure in the years to come. You all seem so fresh faced and spirit of youth on your side, even some hipster glasses! The world is your oyster. Enjoy it!
Thanks for the view and all that 🙂 You all have an awesome idea that I wish I would’ve thought of. Keep it up 🙂

Me and my friends are exactly like this, we wanted to remain friends instead on complying to societies ‘you best friends are made at university’. Such an amazing thing to blog about!

What a great idea! Keep it up!! Thanks so much for dropping by my blog : )
Good luck staying in touch for a long period of time. I have one friend still who dates back to Junior High School actually. And I have a couple acquaintenances from grad school. So you will have your work cut out for you. The ones you stay closest too are the ones least like you I find but are not judgmental about how you change through life in terms of ideas politics etc.
Ahaha, thanks for the like… errr… Whom ever did so. 😛 But still! It’s a great idea to make a blog to all keep in touch. I’m still somewhat close to my high school friends- and it’s been three years since I graduated. All I can say is this: it gets hard after a while, but don’t let it stop you guys! ^ o^
~C
Ye gods, it’s like watching fluffy kittens and cute puppies—
(a) I love it, and
(b) I wish …
Hey, I wanted to say thanks for taking the time to keep up with my little blog. Who-*ever* it is liking my posts, I feel the love! Hah, being that I’m a high school senior with only a few close friends this might not be a bad idea to keep in touch, I’ve got one friend who wants to go to CalArts, another staying on the East Coast, and of course I want to go to Reed.
Hope you guys keep chrisman2college going!
Thank you for your encouraging “like” on my blog. Friends are a blessing from God.
THIS. IS. SO. GREAT.

Hi. You liked my latest post, so I wanted to stop by and check out your blog, and I was surprised to see you all went to William Chrisman. I graduated from Park Hill South 2011 and remember playing soccer against you guys back in the good old days when I was on the team. Anyway, I just wanted to share this uncanny coincidence.
Love this idea. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
This is a really great, unique idea. Looking forward to reading about your continued adventures!
well, I’ve found a new procrastination tool! Thanks for the blog post “like” guys! Can’t wait to keep up with your college/post-high school adventures.
Thank you for visiting
i love what you lads are doing! i wish this is happening in my life right now. unfortunately, i lost contact with everyone i went to school with. when i was still at school there was this one guy who is always nice to me, then one day i decided to contact him and hopefully get re-acquainted with him but he told me he does not remember me at all. gee, how do you go from being nice to someone to completely not remembering him? oh well…
Impressive! I am almost 30 years old and my best friends are still from high school! Good luck!
Hi! Your blog is a breath of fresh air and I truly enjoy my visits here. That’s why I’ve nominated you for the Liebster award if you chose to participate. Cheers!

Y’all are cute. LETS HANG OUT!!
Ha, We are always open to making new friends
PAAARRRDYYY
Don’t let college get you down. Try to have good, honest relationships with your professors, especially with the ones who teach the classes that you aren’t doing so well in. As soon as you make some kind of connection with your prof, you’re one grade point higher than when you started. Really. You’re no longer a number and just a name. You’re a person. It’s easy for a prof to assign a bad grade to someone he doesn’t know. It’s difficult for a prof to assign a bad grade to a student about whom he knows something about. DON’T talk to him about your life’s problems. Talk to him about ANYTHING else. That’s called schmoozing. It’s a good life skill to develop.
Good luck in life.
Thanks for the advice
Thanks for dropping by and liking my blog. I hope that you guys will successfully complete your experiment and remain close even after college. Have fun and don’t grow up too fast!
Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. I like what you guys and gals are doing here. And, btw, CO ROCKS. For the guy who gets to snowboard everyday, hug a mtn for me. I miss hiking the 14ers sooooo much!
And also, I have a bachelors in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Biochem was my favorite class and I’ve been thinking about possibly maybe getting my masters in it.

Great job!

I know you’ve heard it a dozen and a half times but this is a really cool idea for a blog. I wish my friends from high school had been this cool, but we took the lame route of staying in touch (aka Facebook). Keep up the posts though;I enjoy some of them. 🙂

Hey guys,
Thank you for liking my post. I had a sports accident on 15th December 2011 and have been trying to recover since. My spinal injury has been the toughest challenge in my life, and I really want to say thank you for supporting me, it honestly means a lot to me.
I love how you guys all connect through blogging and keep up to date 🙂
Your friend,
Lucas
http://www.leveluphealth.wordpress.com
Thanks Lucas, glad you liked it. I participate in several action sports and I have had my fair share of injuries that didn’t bother me, but spinal injuries legitimately scare me. I am happy to see you are walking again and I hope you have a full recovery.
-Derek
Hey Derek, yeah injuries suck, but hopefully we come out wiser if not stronger hahha. So how’s Colorado now? Has your view point in life changed? I love the quote under your description. What’s something crazy and fun that has happened there?
Hey again, thank you for supporting me. The writing here is fun, and I feel that we have a connection. I’ll be following you, keep up the great job ☺ Your friend, Lucas
http://www.leveluphealth.wordpress.com
Ha, I wish It had been on camera. I just left Colorado last week I re injured my right knee and decided a 100+ days of snowboarding was enough so I came home. As for whats next I plan on working at a marina this summer driving boats around and doing a lot of mountain biking and wakeboarding. Then Next winter I might be going back to Colorado.
-Derek
Hey Lucas, Colorado is awesome and the six months I have been here have been nothing short of amazing. My view point on life changed last august when I accepted my job here, because I decided that I was going to start doing the things I have always dreamed of doing as soon as possible while I have no responsibilities and am physically able instead of maybe doing them sometime in my future. As far as something crazy that has happened, I triggered a fairly big avalanche a few months ago and snowboarded out of it without it swallowing me, it was scary at the time but now its a great story.
-Derek
Hahaha an avalanche! Are you crazy! I was an adrenaline junkie too before I got injured. The avalanche must have looked just like the movies. It’s usually in the moments that are the coolest that we wish we had a camera running!
Are you still in Colorado? What’s next?
Your friend,
Lucas
this is so awesome and such a great idea, can’t help but smile 🙂
thanks to all of you for the visit and the likes ) beth

Thank you so much for stopping by FGMS blog! All the best to you and your educational endeavors.
thanks for stopping by and liking several of my posts.
This is awesome! Derek– I plan to move out to Colorado after graduation from college and have the same outlook and the quote you used is the way I explain why I am not beginning a full time job upon graduation. As a college athlete, I have the hope to continue playing sports, especially skiing out west. This idea for a blog was a great way to keep in touch and I really enjoyed it. We had to start our blogs for a class in school but I plan to begin another one upon moving out there. Cheers!

so not sure which of you, maybe all of you, stopped by my blog today – thank you! taking a look here – looks like you all lead very interesting lives and i’ll be interested in following what happens. a few points of interest – i was born and raised in denver, colo., so it’s exciting to hear that derek is out there doing what most coloradans do – recreate. also… as it just so happens, im a UNC graduate. i loved greeley. i have my degree in journalism and mass communications and continue to pay a lil’ bit to that school to help (though being a journalist doesn’t pay much more than enough to pay bills haha). so morgan i wish you the best in greeley! feel free to drop a line if needed. you’re all very young and not everyone knows exactly what they want to do right away but you’ll figure it out as you go along. best of luck to all of you!
What a small world! I go to Columbia College in downtown CoMO! And Megan, I’m also obsessed with all things British! 🙂 Good luck to all of you in college!

Thanks for visiting me.
Hey guys! Thanks for stopping by my blog. You have an interesting concept going on here. I am still close friends with 2 people I went to grade school with and 2 from high-school. The rest have all drifted away. Or died. School was a long time ago! 🙂
Hey just all of just you got a pal,me, from now until I move my new plane I’ll follow you. The best for you, family and friends always, seeya
What a fantastic idea. I’m envious of you guys and gals –– not many of my friends understood my love of blogging when I was in high school, let alone wanting to begin a blog like this with me. I’ve contributed to college friends’ blogs, but it’s not the same as what you guys have here. Keep writing and sharing your adventures!!!
Wonderful idea! My high school buddy and I reconnected on facebook a couple of years ago …… still strong 😀
Thanks for stopping by my blog and the follow 😀
This is a great idea for college buddies to stay in touch. I wish you all well. Strive to be all you can be. You have the world at your fingertips. Make your parents proud of your accomplishments and always be mindful that others are watching what you do. Don’t embarrass yourself. It may jeopardize your chance for a great job one day! This is coming from an older person. I envy your youth. Use it wisely. God bless! I will follow you to make sure you are being good! Only kidding!
Hi, thanks for stopping by and liking my posts! 😀

-Derek
Thanks for stopping by and liking our blog post. I love the idea of your blog – it really is so easy to get caught up in life and lose track of your high school friends as the years go by. I hope you manage to keep it up!
You are welcome, and thanks for stopping by our blog!
My son and his six friends from preschool through high school did this…they are now pushing 30; still close friends, as the families are too – all going to their weddings, birthdays etc. all across the county. It is wonderful to have these friendships. Kudos to all of you for recognizing this.
Thats awesome, I hope the same is true for us in 20 years.
Nice job guys. Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking WWOOFers

Thanks for the like on my Shine On Award post. You guys are something. What a neat way to stay glued to one another. Precious! I know [age] 30 sounds jurassic to you but you might get something out of it. Wish I had gotten something like this at my tender age (not necessarily the same testimony) from those who’ve gone before….

See, I was out “chasing rabbits,” and I come back and your still here….. that’s wonderment. I appreciate you stopping by and checking out my new site. I wish ya’ll the best!
G.
This is the first uh… ‘communal’ blog I’ve seen in my short career of blogging. It sounds fun and a great way to keep in touch with old friends.
Reading about the American college experience is very new for me (we’ve all seen the Hollywood high-school movies, although no one tackles college). It sounds WAY different then what us college kids do here in Pakistan. For one, we don’t work or travel. We just study, socialize and devour our parent’s heard-earned money. Should I be sad or happy about that?
Good luck with all your adventures! And have enough fun for all us sheltered kids too. We’ll read and enjoy with you!
Thanks, you should be happy and sad. I would hate not traveling, but I would have no problem not working.
-Derek
Hey bloggers:
1) Cool concept! Almost like Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (well, since you’re all in college, maybe traveling sweatpants)
